According to U.Today, renowned horror novelist Stephen King recently shared his thoughts on artificial intelligence (AI) with his 7.1 million Twitter followers. The cryptic tweet left his followers guessing about its meaning, with King stating he is not concerned about AI because he has his 'mojo working.' Some speculated that King might be referring to 'Box Office Mojo,' a website that tracks movie box office revenues. King's books have frequently been adapted into successful films, including classics like 'The Green Mile' and 'The Shawshank Redemption.'
The tweet sparked a discussion about the potential threat AI poses to writers. This concern was previously raised by billionaire innovator Elon Musk, who predicted that AI could develop to the point of writing novels as well as best-selling authors within three years. Musk's AI chatbot, Grok, has been integrated on Twitter for Premium users and has surpassed OpenAI's ChatGPT-4 in terms of monthly subscription price. Grok is available to all Premium users for $8 per month, making it 60% cheaper than ChatGPT-4, which costs $20 per month. A new version of Grok, Grok 1.5, is expected to be released soon.
